Teaching Philosophy
1. Don’t Just study hard, STUDY SMART!
In fact, just studying hard is not proportional to getting better results. Some students perform much better in exams by studying much lesser time compare to the ones who give in more time. Sounds not so fair, but this is the reality!
The reason is those students with higher marks know how to study smart! They focus on the exam techniques and focus on the exam style questions. 80% of the text book style question will not be tested, and the school material will not be applicable in getting a B+ or A in the actual exam.
2. Save Time
We all know that “Time” is the most precious resource, so we want to use it in a smart way.
If you study yourself at home, you might have to spend 5 hours to go over your Math text book and still may not gain a lot. How about if you use 1 hour with me and gain more of the amount then studying 5 hours by yourself, then you could save the remaining 4 hours to do something else.
3. Focus on concepts and exam techniques
Everything in this planet has its own history and traits, so does Exam! In my class, I will show my students how to apply the Math concepts that they learn to solve the problems. You will learn techniques that you won't learn from school. What I will do is by introducing everything from scratch and then proceeding to demonstrating exam techniques on pass exam questions. This is the most effective way to gain good marks in exams.
4. Start early! never wait until the last minute
Normally we don’t like to study until the last minute, 70% of the students are happened to behave this way. This way might work in other subjects, but in Math it won’t work. If you want to achieve a A- or A in Math, you must start early.
